1 lb ground beef or sirloin
1/4 cup chopped mushrooms
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp chopped yellow onion
1 large garlic clove (or 2 medium), finely chopped
3 tbsp chopped parsley
1.5 tsp dijon mustard
3 splashes of worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
4 slices of cheddar cheese
4 hamburger buns
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix with hands to incorporate. Form the mixture into 4 patties with a thumb indention in the center of each. Grill the hamburgers directly over medium-high heat, flipping once after 5 minutes.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill. Place a slice of cheese on top of the hamburger during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Serve with fries and a cold coke!
