Also known as "Ringa" in Arabic. It is a salted fish popular in the Middle East as well as several parts of Europe especially Finland. Just open it and season the inside with black pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice. Eat with pita, red onions (soaked in lemon juice and vinegar to tenderize), tahini or yogurt dip. You'll need a large glass of water because it is pretty salty but that is what makes it so good. Sounds strange but very delicious.
