Fruit and Veggie Smoothie

This combination of pineapple, banana, pear, peach, (mixed berries*), and spinach is so tasty. Blended with a little honey and orange juice, this smoothie tastes like all fruit and not at all like spinach. The ingredient list is very flexible based on what you may or may not have on hand. Don't be scared. Try it today!

If you add the mixed berries, your smoothie will turn brown like the first photo. If you don't add them, then you will have a pretty green color like the second picture. Either tastes just as good.

Yield: 2 servings
1 banana (frozen), cut into chunks
1 cup chopped frozen pineapple
1 chopped peach or nectarine
1 pear, coarsely chopped
1 and 1/2 cups orange juice
2 and 1/2 cups baby spinach leaves
1/3 cup mixed berries (optional)
2 tbsp honey 

Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and puree until completely smooth. Taste and adjust sweetness with additional honey, if desired. Serve immediately.
