Creamy Mushroom Orzo

1 tbsp butter
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
1 carton of mushrooms
1/4 tsp thyme
salt and black pepper
1 cup orzo
2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp cream cheese
2 tbsp Parmesan cheese

Melt butter in a pan on medium high heat. Add the garlic and saute for about a minute. Add the thyme and mushrooms. Let mushrooms cook for a few minutes. Season with black pepper and a dash of salt. Add orzo and chicken broth. Simmer until done. Reduce the heat to medium low. Fold in the cream cheese and Parmesan. Top with more Parmesan cheese if desired.
