Milk Chocolate Florentine Cookies

Ingredients:
2/3 cups butter
2 cups quick oats
1 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup light or dark corn syrup (I used dark)
1/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups Nestle Toll House Milk Chocolate Morsels

 Directions:
Bring middle rack up one level. Line baking sheets with foil. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in medium saucepan.  Remove from heat. Stir in the oats, sugar, flour, corn syrup, milk, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Using  a TEASPOON, drop the batter on the foil about 3 inches apart. Spread thinly. (the first batch I made too large and too thick) Bake for 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool COMPLETELY on wire racks. Peel cookies from foil. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments stirring just until the morsels are melted. Spread thin layer of melted chocolate onto flat side of half the cookies. Top with remaining cookies.
