Thanksgiving Dinner: November 25, 2010

THE MENU

Appetizer:
Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Dinner:
first
Arugula Salad with Avocado, Goat Cheese, Walnuts,
and dried Cranberries

then
Zucchini Casserole
Sweet Potato Casserole
 Rice
Baba Ghanosh Dip
Homemade Cranberry Sauce

Dessert:


Preparation List and Cook Times
10:00am
·         Season turkey
·         Roast squash for casserole
·         Roast squash for soup
·         Roast sweet potato for casserole
1:00-5:00pm
·         Put turkey in oven for 3 1/2 - 4 hours
·         Prepare spinach and artichoke dip
·         Prepare squash casserole
·         Prepare sweet potato casserole
4:30 pm                                                                       
·         Make pumpkin soup
·         Make cranberry sauce
·         Bake spinach and artichoke dip
(hopefully there will be room for it in the oven next to the turkey pan)
5:00 pm
·         Make baba ghanosh dip
·         Prepare apple cake
·         Cook rice
·         Bake sweet potato casserole
·         Bake squash casserole
·         Roast broccoli on lower rack
·         Toss salad
  6:00 pm
·         Put apple cake in oven
·         Eat

  1. woow, what a hard job you are doing today! Good Luck dodo..i loved all the courses..especially the casseroles..But, are you inviting someone to dinner?? this is a huge portion for only two!

  2. Thanks Hind. We are inviting two friends. So just four total for dinner. I am really excited about making it all. I will small portions except for the 16 lb turkey that we will have leftovers in for sure! I'll take lots of pictures:)Wish you could come over!
